Arghhh! Middle of the week last week it was windy yesterday was a little hot then later that day it rained. I cannot believe how unpredictable the weather is here in the Bay Area. Now I'm missing San Diego's weather. That's why my girls' keep getting sick because of the changes in the weather. Jelynn has been coughing and having runny nose for weeks now I'm getting worried that it might have turn to allergy. While Jewelle keep getting sick because of her sister. Ahhhh! This is going to be tricky once the baby comes out. I don't want them passing around the virus to each other. If only we could move back in San Diego maybe the predictable weather can keep them healthier.
It's been weeks now that I have been feeling pain here and there so you might not be surprise if I say I want the baby out soon lol. Whenever I go to sleep I usually stay on one side because everytime I turn around I feel pain. Then when I stretch my legs in the morning my muscles lock up of course creating more pain. It seems that every little movement creates pain. I now have a hard time walking so most of the time I just drive Jelynn to school. But this past week all I have been doing was walking that's why my legs hurt so bad for a couple of days now. I don't feel Baby JE as much as I used to anymore maybe because the baby is getting bigger and bigger there's not enough room to move around. On my last appointment I didn't gain any weight but still measuring normal so that's fine. My OB thinks that the baby might be smaller than my last two...maybe we'll see I guess.
Fetal Development:
With four weeks to go, our baby is almost ready. S/he could drop into the birth canal at any time now. This week, the fat is dimpling on the elbows and knees as well as forming creases in the neck and wrists. The baby's gums are very rigid.
Maternal Changes:
About a month to go ~ you'll probably be visiting your care provider once a week at this point. The average weight gain now is between 25 and 30 pounds. You should be consuming about 2400 calories per day. Make them count! Your body is working hard now and needs quality fuel.
If you haven't been tested for Group B Strep, ask your caregiver about it. It's also a good time to take a tour of the hospital/birth facilities if you haven't yet.
